Our Leadership

Alex Gibson

President

Alex A. Gibson is the President/CEO of The Gibson Group, LLC, the Southeast's premiere trusted infrastructure consulting firm. The firm delivers professional service throughout the project cycle, from planning, design, and engineering to program management.

A longstanding EHS Professional, Mr. Gibson has worked in several key compliance programs, including the SC Department of Environmental Control, the City of Columbia Stormwater Program, and the SC Army National Guard.

Over a career spanning more than 30 years, Alex has predominately worked in the planning, assessment, and private sector clients across key air and water programs as a regulator and within the regulated community. He is a member of the American Chemical Society and the National Organization for the Professional Advancement of Black Chemists and Chemical Engineers. He has served as the president of the National Society of Black Engineers’ SC Midlands Chapter.
